Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why have a ceilidh?
Whereas a good DJ can get everyone up and dancing, with a Ceilidh you are guaranteed a traditional night of fun and excitement. It is the ideal entertainment for so many events (particularly weddings) where many of the guests don't know each other as it allows people to mix, dance and get to know each other. Also the unique fun and entertainment provided by a Ceilidh will have guests reminicing about your event for years to come!
  • Can the band provide more than just a ceilidh?
The band can provide both a Ceilidh and DJ sets. We tailor the evening to suit your needs for the event.
  • Will someone be able to call and explain the dances?
Yes! Each Band memeber is vastly experiencced in calling ceilidh dances. Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a reminder we'll help you out. We're also used to calling for people of all nationalities, so language is not a barrier!
  • Are the band willing to travel?
Each band member has a wealth of touring experience, and will happily travel anywhere in the world to perform. We have played Ceilidhs in all corners of the UK and even as far as France and Italy!
  • What time will you arrive and how long does it take for the band to setup?
We will arrive approximately one hour prior to when your booking commences in order to setup and soundcheck. If you require us to arrive earlier than this, we will charge extra for early setups.
  • How much space does the band need to perform?
Roughly speaking we need an area of 4m x 1.5m to setup in. If the room has a stage this is ideal but not a necessity.
  • Can we come and see the band before we decide to book?
Unfortunately most of our bookings are private events such as weddings. However you can have a look at our wide range of video recordings and testomonials from previous clients to help with your decision. We also have lots of recordings on our SoundCloud and Youtube!
  • Does the band have public liability insurance and PAT certificates?
Yes and we are happy to provide details and certificates to you or your venue if required!
