You played with such energy and excitement that everyone was wanting to join in-including my grandparents who haven’t been on the dance floor for years! The atmosphere you created was so fun and everyone commented how incredibly talented you all were. You taught the dances with such fun- our Scottish guests commented it was one of the best ceilidhs they had ever been to, whilst our English guests still knew what to do! I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the band for playing at our wedding at Thornton Manor Lakeside Marquee on 26 October.
You were absolutely fantastic. The ceilidh was brilliant and the calling was a lot of fun! You kept everyone going and having a great time, despite the chaos of a bunch of English folk trying it out for the first time! Thank you very much for your wonderful music at my wedding celebration in Falkirk last month. The piano music during the dinner was just perfect, and came complete with all of our favourite requests played beautifully. The ceilidh was an absolute joy for beginners and experienced dancers alike, and the clear guidance throughout made sure that everybody had a great time. The disco was great too and came with wonderful atmospheric lighting. I couldn't have asked for more.
I'd also like to thank you for working around our very delayed schedule! Thanks for staying late to make sure that everyone could enjoy a fantastic dance and disco - we sincerely appreciated this.

Hi Michael,
Thank you so much to Tartan Trio for providing such a talented quartet to play at our wedding. The band were fantastic and we had so many comments from our guests to say how much they loved the music and the dancing. Our Scottish friends were particularly impressed and we think the number of people on the floor for every dance was a testament to how good the band were.
We were really impressed with the caller – I’m sorry we don’t remember her name. Her instructions were kept brief, but were given really clearly and with great humour and we were soon getting on with each dance. We loved that the tempo was gradually increased during each dance so that by the end we were literally flying though them!
Auld Lang Syne was a really special moment and a chance for us to look around at all of our friends having so much fun, and to really soak in the moment. The transition into the disco was very smooth and thank you for including so many of our requested songs in the playlist. We cannot recommend you highly enough.
Once again, thank you so much for a great night which really made our special day so incredible.

You were all so professional and fun and made our wedding so memorable. I was so impressed that there was always a full compliment of dancers on the floor which is always testament to the skills of caller and band - people couldn't wait to get up to dance. I only wish my dress would have allowed a little more dancing for myself - however it was a joy to watch people having a great time.

My wife and I had a black tie/kilted dinner dance recently with over 90 guests of all ages. The highlight of the evening was the Tartan Trio Ceilidh Band .They had everyone up dancing and having fun and with a professional dance caller it all went incredibly well. We just wanted to thank you again for playing so wonderfully at our wedding in St Andrews in July (sorry it’s taken so long for us to email you, but hopefully you got the thank you card we sent).
We had an absolute blast and so did our guests – a lot of them were ceilidh novices but have told us how much they enjoyed themselves, and now can’t wait until their next chance for a ceilidh! You had everyone involved and helped them through the dances in a fun and entertaining way, and who could forget such a long strip the willow line - we were exhausted by the end of it! The disco was a great end to the night and you chose a perfect mix of songs.

Everyone had so much fun, I'm definitely glad that we found a real Scottish Ceilidh band. Katie and I just wanted to drop you a quick note to pass on our thanks to the guys for this Saturday at Cote How as it was an absolutely brilliant evening, and everyone had a great time.
The guys from the band were brilliant and couldn’t have been more helpful on the night and were really nice all round personally too.
Needless to say, we had a mixture of amateurs, those who have done quite a view barn dances and then the down right dreadful (think that’s the group I was in 😄) but the calling meant we were all very much able to take part...I think we managed an age range from 3 to 72 for the actual dancing so full marks for making it inclusive to all.
Please pass on our thanks and if we ever need a band again we will happily pick Tartan Trio or recommend them to a friend.

Thank you so much for playing at our wedding last month. Everyone had such a great time. The Ceildh was perfect as it got everyone up and dancing, and no-one felt self-conscious. You played a really good mix of songs that suited all abilities and provided great guidance. It was great to end with "Strip the willow" and a 30 second "spin-as-fast-as-you-can". My husband and I danced to as many of the songs as we could, and we were knackered by the end. You really read the room, allowing breaks and continuing with the Ceildh as long as people were dancing (as we had booked the DJ package). We booked you as you had played at my friends wedding in April '17 and we had never had so much fun dancing before. We would fully recommend you to anyone planning an event, especially a wedding. I would also suggest you to anyone who isn't sure what entertainment to have.

The Tartan Trio Ceilidh Band played at the evening reception for my wedding on 30/03/2018. They were brilliant, and my guests were singing their praises. Quite a few guests had not ceilidh danced before, but nearly everyone had a go and enjoyed themselves. The well-practised Scottish contingent also enjoyed the music and dancing. My seven-year-old cousins are still talking about the dancing and what fun they had. Even the groom's 90-year-old granny was able to dance one of the slower dances. Michael did the calling on the day, giving clear instructions for people to follow; he was also great to deal with in the booking process. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Thanks, guys!
